The Camino De Santiago or Way of St. James

The Camino Francés is traditionally a Christian pilgrimage from the small town of St. Jean Pied de Port in southern France to the city of Santiago De Compostela. The most popular route of the Camino it's also often referred to as the Camino De Santiago or the Way of St. James.

It's a self guided adventure of a lifetime walking nearly 800kms across northern Spain, where it’s believed that the remains of the apostle St. James are buried in the Cathedral in Santiago De Compostela.

Why the Camino

At the time of creating this website I'd already ventured to many beautiful and exciting destinations around the world. My wife and I were looking for an adventure that was a little different and unmatched by anything we'd ever done before, that's when we decided to walk the Camino or Way of St James.

The Camino De Santiago attracts a growing number of modern day pilgrims from a variety of religious and non-religious backgrounds. Aside from a great adventure, its an opportunity to make new friends, get some exercise, sample some great food and wine, see some amazing locations and experience everything northern Spain has to offer.
